Bishop Shanahan Mathletes "Team A" (left to right - Neil Butler, Zhiyu Zhao, Paul Blanchard, Bianca Nguyen and Tony Francis) have qualified for the Archdiocesan Mathletes Competition that will be held at Archbishop Ryan on April 7th.
In late March, the Bishop Shanahan Forensics Team competed at the Pennsylvania High School State Finals which were held at Susquehanna University. Fourteen Shanahan students finished among the best in the state.
Through highly competitive audition, Bishop Shanahan junior Alec Pfeiffenberger, a Tenor II, has been selected to be a member of the P.M.E.A. State Chorus. The chorus will perform in concert in late March in Harrisburg
Matthew Horger - 2nd place in Computer Sciences Matthew was also invited to compete in Nano Day at the University of Pennsylvania in October.
Salena Ringenbach - Honorable Mention in Chemistry and the Philadelphia Society for Coatings Technology Special Award
Moira Dougherty and Colleen Henderson - Honorable Mention award from The American Society of Highway Engineers
Twenty-one Bishop Shanahan Science students received awards for their projects at the Chester County Science Research Competition which was held at the Chester County Center for Arts and Technology (Pickering Campus) in March.
WPVI-TV, 6ABC, is again holding its "Best of the Class" annual salute to academic excellence among seniors who attend high schools in the Delaware Valley. Representing Bishop Shanahan this year is Paul Blanchard.

Following the Pennsylvania High School State Forensics Finals in late March, Bishop Shanahan has two State Champions. They are Senior Jasmine Lidhar and Senior Joseph D'Antonio
Freshman Caoimhe Mannion (Newtown Square) and Lindsay Washkalavitch (Oxford) are this year's Bishop Shanahan recipients of the "2014 Founders Award" from the Emergency Aid of Pennsylvania Foundation.
Senior Shanahan Mathlete Paul Blanchard was the "High Scorer" in the Archdiocesan Western Division Mathletes Championship.
Shanahan Mathletes "Team B" ( left to right - Toby Francis, Ryan Paulukinas, Deanna Herb, Greg Pera and Nick Quiroz) has qualified for the Archdiocesan Mathlete Championships that are going to held on April 7th at Archbishop Ryan.
In conjunction with their game against West Chester Henderson on Saturday, April 12th, the Bishop Shanahan Girls' Lacrosse Team hosted "Lax 4 Life".
Steven Ringenbach has received an appointment to the Class of 2018 at the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Congratulations to Steven and his family on receiving this singular honor.
