Community Service Corps

Meeting Day: Varies

Frequency of Meetings: Monthly meetings and as needed for various service opportunities. This club may be joined at any time of the year. Students participate when their schedule allows.

Purpose/Activities: To perform works of charity and service for those in need. Service opportunities throughout the year include service to: the poor and disadvantaged, the elderly, people with disabilities, children and the environment.

Requirements: $5.00 Registration Fee, a desire to help others and a generous heart.

Other Information: Time Investment: 1 hour each month for meetings and additional time when needed for an activity. Each year the students collect from the members of their homeroom in order to provide a needy family with Christmas gifts, which are bought and wrapped by the students themselves. The students also take part in many drives for food and clothing throughout the year. Students participate in Special Olympics, and other service projects when they are able.
