Advanced Placement quality points are applied to the grades earned in these courses.

The quarter grade reflects the progress that a student has made during that marking period. This grade reflects achievement on major tests and quizzes, completion of homework assignments, and classroom participation. Major projects and term papers which are reasonably spaced over the quarter are also used.
The semester grade is computed by adding the two quarters' grades.
The final grade is computed as follows: for full year courses, the final grade is 45% of the 1st semester grade + 45% of the 2nd semester grade + 10% of the final exam grade. For 1 semester courses, the final grade is 45% of the 1st quarter grade + 45% of the 2nd quarter grade + 10% of the final exam grade.
Class Ranking
A student's rank in class is determined by the quality points earned according to the grades achieved at the first semester and the final marking periods. The rank in class is computed for each current year and also cumulatively for all the four high school years. Rank is printed only at the January semester and the June final report.
Honors are computed at the end of the first three marking periods and for the final grade of the year. To attain First Honors, a student must have a general average of 90 or above in every subject. To obtain Second Honors, a student must have a general average of 85 or above in every subject.
