Activities - Mathletes

Meeting Day for 2007-08: Thursdays

Frequency of Meetings: One or two forty-five minute practices and one three-hour competition each month. Practices are usually held the Thursday before the competition from 2:45 to 3:30 and the competitions are held on Mondays from 2:00 to 5:00 each month.

Purpose/Activities: If you like Math and teamwork, then this is the club for you. High School students in the Archdiocese meet once per month at various High Schools to compete in a three-round competition dealing with various areas in Mathematics. Each member can have a feeling of accomplishment due to his or her academic efforts.

Requirements: Juniors and Seniors who have taken advanced math courses, with the allowance of some Sophomore exceptions, are invited to take part in Mathletes.
