Activities - National Honor Society

Frequency of Meetings: Once per Month as Announced

Purpose/Activities: The National Honor Society commends those students who are excelling academically and have been actively involved in the school community. Its members provide service to fellow students and numerous school events such as Freshman Orientation and the annual school auction. During the year, they spend many hours tutoring students who need their assistance. The NHS sponsors the annual Father/Daughter Dance and spends countless hours organizing details and decorating. Members show not only outstanding academic qualities but must also possess character, leadership and service.

Requirements: Membership in the National Honor Society is restricted to Seniors and Juniors with a cumulative quality point quotient of 41.0 or above, who submit an application, and are approved by a majority vote of the Faculty Council on the basis of Leadership, Service, and Character. (See Agenda Booklet for additional requirements.)
