We reached over $200,000 in our Shanahan Fund for the 1st time in school history! This year, with your help and sacrifice, we received $208,085!!!! Many thanks to the parents, grandparents, alumni (both BSHS and St. Agnes) who have made Bishop Shanahan High School a philanthropic priority! The support and generosity of all of our constituents is greatly appreciated. As we begin another school year, our goal is $225,000. Every dollar supports the mission of Shanahan. Our Leadership Committee is led by Frank DiFonzo '62, a member of the Shanahan Advisory Board. If you have any questions regarding the Shanahan Fund, please contact Amy Seifert, Director of the Shanahan Fund!

How does it work? Bishop Shanahan will identify the greatest tuition assistance needs and allocate the funds accordingly to those students. Whom does it benefit? Those students who desire the rewards and benefits of a Catholic Education but who need financial assistance. How do I contribute? Sponsor A Student provides several levels of gifting, as well as options for payment. Gifting Levels: Options include annual donations for a High School tuition sponsorship of $5,750 a partial tuition sponsorship of $2,500, a partial tuition sponsorship of $1,500, or any amount you specify. Payment Methods: Contributions can be made annually, quarterly or monthly. A New Tax-Saving Opportunity! If you are 70 ½ or older, recent legislation benefits YOU! Receive the benefits-before time runs out. It took nearly a decade, but Congress has finally enacted legislation as part of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA 2006), which offers charitably minded individuals a golden opportunity to make gifts from their IRAs and exclude the amount of their gifts from gross income.
