On December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, Fr. Matt Guckin, campus minister, blessed the cornerstone from the West Chester Bishop Shanahan school, which opened in 1957. The cornerstone was retrieved when the building was torn down in 2010. The new cornerstone base contains: · Letter dated November 18, 1956 telling who was in attendance: Rev. Henry C. Schuyler, Assistant Rectors Rev. William Faunce, Rev. James Sheridan and Rev. Henry Smyth. The speaker was the very Rev. John Haydt, Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
