2nd Annual Endowment Golf Outing to be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at French Creek Golf Club
(Below is an invitation from our President Sr. Regina Plunkett and Golf Chair Kevin Quinn.)
Last year the Shanahan community embraced the Bishop Shanahan 1st Annual Endowment Golf Outing and made it a tremendous success. The 1st Annual Endowment Golf Outing was attended by over 100 golfers and raised over $75,000. What a tremendous effort and testament to the great work that Bishop Shanahan does here in Chester County to educate and nurture our Catholic young women and men. A special “Thank You” to our many generous sponsors and supporters! Due to the success of the outing, Bishop Shanahan is on its way to building the $1,000,000 Endowment Fund necessary to provide tuition assistance for those who want but cannot afford a Catholic Education. Our goal is to create an endowment large enough to address the tuition assistance needs of those qualifying needy students while preserving the principal of the fund. Once this critical mass is achieved, a self-sustaining endowment will make a difference for future generations of young men and women! Our Bishop Shanahan 2nd Annual Endowment Golf Outing will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the scenic and challenging French Creek Golf Club in Elverson, PA. The committee is working hard to have another great day with golf, a “beat the student” contest and a $10,000 putting contest as well as a fabulous dinner and live auction. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a sponsor and/or player. Enclosed is an invitation which lists sponsorship opportunities for you to review and from which to select and to make reservations as a golfer. Please come! JOE GIUNTA GOLF OUTING – TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 We wanted to get the word out early this year about the Giunta Golf Outing and some exciting changes. The event this year will be held on Tuesday September 23rd at the Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, PA. We look forward to the excellent banquet facilities that Penn Oaks offers which will offer us a wonderful dining experience. In addition, the Golf Course is challenging and very well maintained and should make for a great day of golf. From an entertainment standpoint this year we are thrilled to be presenting the amazing impressions and comedy of Joe Conklin. Anybody who is a listener to local sports talk station WIP in the mornings will be sure to have heard some of the hilarious skits that Joe has done with the morning team.
