Students may not self-administer any medication except for epinephrine auto-injectors, inhalers, and insulin. In order to self-administer this medication students must have the appropriate paperwork signed by the physician and parent at the start of every school year. Please be aware that students must demonstrate proficiency to the certified school nurse to carry these medications. Students need medications must follow the guidelines set forth by the school's Medication Policy which can be found in the student handbook.
This flu season, you call the shots! The Chester County Health Department is pleased to provide community outreach clinics hosted at local schools for adults and children to receive a flu vaccine. If you have health insurance, bring your insurance card to the clinic/outreach. Your health insurance coverage will be confirmed prior to receiving the vaccine. If you do not have health insurance, or if your health insurance does not cover the flu vaccine, it will be provided at no cost. Preregistration is available.
