Dear Parents and Friends,

Happy New Year! 

January 13,2012

We are preparing to finish up the first semester, and are getting ready to move into the third quarter!  So much has happened, and so much is yet to come.  We are all looking forward to Catholic Schools Week; the Junior Week Celebrations; the Class Dances; and all the excitement that Graduation brings, and it will all be here before we know it.   

The Freshman students have just completed the annual Activities Survey, and this year almost every student reports that they are involved in some extracurricular school activity.  This is a very good sign.  Students who are involved in other activities tend to do better scholastically than students who do not participate in anything else outside the classroom.   Also, Students generally get more involved as they move through the grades, and that means that we can expect great things from the Class of 2015.

We hope that the gentlemen are planning to attend the Mother-Son Communion Breakfast at the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, and that the young ladies intend to invite their Dads to the Father Daughter Dance.  These are two of the nicest events of the school year, and we are hoping to see as many students attend as possible.  Tickets are on sale in the Activities Office.

Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me if you have any questions or if I can do anything to help you.  I am not always in my office during the day, but I try never to leave at night unless I have returned all calls left on my voicemail, and answered all my e-mails.

Thank you for all you do to support this office and your children, as they participate in sports and activities.  I know that for many of you it means a lot of time spent in the car, and driving to practices, and waiting to drive students home.
