Absent students   Check this site every day.   Cover at home what I cover in class including Bible readings.   When a homework assignment is due, hand it in when due, if you returned to school that day.   When a quiz is announced, be prepared to take the quiz.  When a test is announced, be prepared to take the test with the class when you return to school.   You must keep up with the class so you are not overwhelmed with work when you return.   

Parents:   Please oversee, if you deem necessary, your child's written and study homework.  Grades usually go up when parents get involved and quiz their children.   Not every student needs this; many are responsible on their own.   If you have any questions e-mail me at Shanahan.org   

Third quarter:   There will be another test on the Passion/Death/Resurrection of Jesus on Monday, March 17th, and a Third Quarter Quarterly after Easter.     Hence, all students will have two more tests in addition to the three they have already had.

 Assignments:   They are to tell you of this web site;  Review (restudy) pages 1 to 4;  Study pages 5 & 6;   Read about Lazarus and the Rich Man in the gospel of Luke, chapter 16:19-31; and Daniel chapter 13, the story of Suzanna's virtue.      Again, I prefer they are quizzed at home to make sure they know the material.

Homework and quiz grades will be posted by the end of the week. 

October 26th.  We are currently working on Chapter 3.   The students have an outline of the chapter to study from.  This weekend they are to study pages 1 to 4  from the printed notes I gave them and answer questions at the end of the chapter, page 73, due Monday.    They will have a test on this chapter on Friday, Nov. 2nd.   The students know that I prefer that they are quizzed at home by an adult, if possible, to make sure they are studying what they need to know for next Friday's test.
