Tuesday, September 14th.    Period 1,  we will start Chapter 2.    Periods 3, 5, 7, and 8 report directly to the auditorium for confession. 

Wednesday,  September 15th.   Period 1, report to auditorium for confession.    Periods 3, 5, 7 and 8 we will start chapter 2.   Chapter 2:  answer questions on page 38, due Friday the 17th.

Thursday,  September 16th.    Quiz on terms covered in chapter 1.    We went over the Saint's project, choosing saints and going over the criteria for this project.   Period 8, went to the auditorium for the "Soph class meeting."     Quiz for period 8 will be on Friday.

Friday, September 17th.    Questions page 38 due.   Index cards were filled out naming groups and chosen saint.    We covered Genesis to the word "Contextualist."   Homework:   research your chosen saint.   Come in Monday with articles on this saint.  I will not collect them but I will check to see you are doing some work.   

Monday, September 20th.    In class, continue with Genesis chapters 2.    Homework:   STUDY notes.   Continue to work on saint project.   QUIZ: Wednesday

Tuesday, September 21th:      In class, Genesis chapter 3.    Homework:  STUDY for tomorrow's quiz.     Continue to work on saint project.

Wednesday, September 22nd:    Quiz on Genesis chapter 1, 2, and 3.    Homework:   STUDY.   Continue with saint project.

Thursday, September 23rd:     Continue to work on Genesis.     Study for test next week and saint's project.

Friday, September24th:    Shorter class periods;   Assembly at the end of the day.       We are almost finished with this packet of notes.  We finished to the Rich Man and Lazarus.     TEST:  most likely on Thursday.     Saint's project will be due Wednesday.    This weekend, study for test and finish saints project.

Monday, September 27th:    You will be given time in class (20-25 minutes) to discuss your saint project with your partner.     We will also spend time finishing notes on Genesis.

Tuesday, September 28th:    No school.    Study packet of notes for TEST - most likely on Thursday.     Finish saint project.

Wednesday, September 29th:     Finish packet on notes - TEST Thursday.    Saint's project should be finished.

Thursday, September 30th:    TEST  Genesis 1 to 11.

Friday, October 1st.      Presentations of your project.

Monday, October 4th:   Continued with saint presentations.    HOMEWORK:  Read pages 39 to 47.  Answer questions on page 47.  Also start test preps on these pages.   Due Wednesday.

 Tuesday, October 5th:    Continued with saint presentations.      Homework due tomorrow, page 47.

Wednesday, October 6th:    Finish presentations.    Start working on Abraham.    Homework:   STUDY.

THursday, October 7th:     More on Genesis, chapters 12 to 22.    Know these stories.

Friday, October 8th:    Possible quiz on Abraham.  

Monday, October 11th:    Sick day.  In-class assignment:  Page 51, 3 questions plus essay on page 50,  What issues are you struggling with?

Tuesday, October 12th:   Sick day.  In-class assignment:  page 56, 4 questions plus essay on page 52.  Identifying with feelings of characters in Joseph story.

Wednesday, October 13th     PSAT   no classes

Thursday, October 14th    Homework:  study for Friday's quiz.  TEST next Tuesday.        Finished to Issac today.   

Friday, October 15th      Finished to Joseph story -- we will finish it on Monday.     Study for Tuesday's test.

Monday, October 18th:    Periods 1, 3, 5, 7  DVD Walter Ciszek,   Period 8:  finished packet on Abraham.

Wednesday, October 20th:   Moses - DVD 20 minutes;  Assigned:   Read pages 58 to 64.  Questions on page 64 due Thursday.    Assigned 1st question in margins on page 61 - Attribute and picture (art) due Monday.

Thursday, October 21st:    Moses - DVD  plagues, 10th passover;    Make list of terms/ people for test preps.    Page 61 - second question mark in margins:  Will God ever forget you?   Find a song or poem to share with class.

Friday, October 22nd:     We will continue to study Moses.   Page 63  question in margins:  Sense of direction - write your thoughts.

SECOND QUARTER

December 1st:    Homework assignments collected so far in this quarter:   Page 96, 2 questions;  Page 103, 2 questions, Page 110, 5 questions, Page 115, 2 questions.    Essays in testbook:   Page 97 (?) law that irks you;   Page 103 (?) priint out article on Sanctuary and write a short essay on its contents;  Page 104, (?) Short story that illustrates the "cycle of sin", page 1007 (?) Question under Gideon - short essay - destroying something evil in our society.

 Chapter 6:  Page 119:  3 questions, plus Pg. 118, (?) essay "society without laws";    Page 122, 2 questions, plus pg. 121, (?) possible for God to rule over us.

Due:  Thursday, December 9th:   Your prayer, typed, imitating Hannah's and Mary's Magnificant.

Don't forget:   you had three weeks to work on paper "Progressions of the Covenants"   It is due MONDAY,  December 6th.
