STEM Certificate Program
Mission/Overview:
The STEM Certificate Program inspires the next generation of innovators by developing creative, collaborative, and critical-thinking problem solvers. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students apply rigorous STEM concepts to real-world challenges, making meaningful connections between school, community, and the wider world. 
 
Application Process:
Students entering 10th grade who demonstrate strong interest and aptitude in STEM are invited to apply.
Applicants must have:
  • An overall average of 85 or higher
  • Successful completion of algebra or geometry with at least an 85
Components:
  • 4 years of math and science coursework
  • 2 credits of STEM electives
  • Attendance at all STEM Certificate events (speaker series, field trips, etc.)
  • Active membership on the STEM Team
  • Enrollment in the Senior STEM Capstone Course and completion of the capstone project
  • Graduates receive an official STEM Certificate
