Boys' Winter Track Update: Ocean Breeze Invitational

Bishop Shanahan’s boy’s track and field team had an awesome day on Staten Island at the Ocean Breeze Invitational. The boy’s achieved many medals and personal records. Leading the way was Steven Todd who took the gold in the 2-mile run with a time of 9:24.78. This was Steven’s season’s best and that time hold’s 9 th currently in the state of PA. 

The Sophomore boy’s 4s200 relay team of Sanhith Vandara, James Kyle, Patrick Mcree and Colton Bonnor, raced to a thrilling finish winning their heat and earning a 4th place medal overall.  When you put a baton in the hands of these young men, great things will happen.

Freshman Sebastian Ruth went beyond his comfort zone and moved up to the Freshman 800m run for the first time taking a 5th place medal with a time of 2:11.31

Many young men ran the 200m dash with many personal bests and smiles on their faces. These were all season’s best achievements.

Men’s 400m Dash results, Greg Palaia, 56.01, Ethan Katz, 1:06.23

In the 800m run, Owen Whitaker and Daniels Zimmerman ran personal bests with times of 2:06.36 and 2:06.57 respectively.
