Congratulations to Meghan Willis and Penelope Loeper who represented the girls' cross country team at the Pennsylvania State Championship Meet in Hershey on Saturday, November 4th. They earned the right to participate in the meet by virtue of their outstanding performances at the District Championship Meet eight days earlier. 250 of the fastest runners from around the state toed the line in each race competing for medals awarded to each of the 25 top finishers. Meghan Willis’ time of 19:49 was good for an 18th place medal and Penelope Loeper finished strong in 58th place with a time of 20:49. The team ran very smart races, showing early control and moving up dramatically through the hilliest portions of the course. Congratulations to the whole team on a great season!
