Shanahan Winter Track Team Competes in Puma International Showcase and the Ocean Breeze Invitational

The Bishop Shanahan Winter Track team traveled to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY for the previous two Saturdays to compete in two highly competitive invitationals.

Senior Colin Cregan continued his outstanding season with a 10th place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.03) and a 23rd place finish in the 200 (22.68) at Puma. Colin is currently ranked #11 in the state at 60m.

The 4x200 relay team placed 9th at the Puma meet with a season-best time of 1:31.55. The relay team of Sebastian Ruth, Aidan Civitella, Greg Palaia, and Colin Cregan have their sights set on qualifying for the State Championship meet (top 20 times in PA).

Junior James Kyle was on fire at the Ocean Breeze Invitational, running personal bests in all three of his events. He opened the day with a 23.92 in the 200 and closed the day with another PR of 52.39 in the 400. He also ran an outstanding leg of the 4x200 relay.

Freshman Matthew Muldowney PRd in the 200. Due to a timing system glitch, we still do not have the official time but it was somewhere in the mid 27s.
