Swim Teams Compete at Distrits

Congratulations to the Shanahan boys' and girls' swim and dive teams who competed at the District 1 Swimming and Diving Championships this past weekend!
 

The girls' team placed 5th overall. Whitney Kane was the AA champion in the 200 free and 500 free, both qualifying her for states. She also won the Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet Award! Julia Taylor got 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Back (both with best times). Katie Kolimago placed 13th in the 50 free and 15th in the 100 free (both with best times). Julia Roselli was on the 200 and 400 free relays with the girls, and hit best times in those swims.  Both relays dropped huge amounts of time for season bests.
 

The boys' team placed 6th overall. Landyn Snook was the AA champion in the 50 free and placed 2nd in diving, both qualifying him for States. Owen Eusemann placed 3rd in the 50 free and 4th in the 100 free (both with best times). Jayden Snook placed 12th in the 200 free and 11th in the 100 free (both with best times). Eamon Welsh placed 13th in the 100 back. Joe Tabella placed 16th in the 50 free. The boys' relay also swam two incredible relays that dropped tons of time to hit season bests.
