WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION AND PIAA FORMS

  • WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION and PIAA FORMS

  • Registration for Winter Sports OPENS OCTOBER 20, 2025. 

  • Winter sports include Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Swim and Dive, Boys and Girls Indoor Track, Boys and Girls Club Ice Hockey, and Competitive Cheer.

  • For the 2025-26 Winter Season, Registration will open on October 20th and close on November 7th.  Tryouts begin on November 14th.

  • WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION IS DUE BY NOVEMBER 7th ONLINE ONLY!

  • Parents/Athletes: If you did not register for a Fall sport, print Section 6 of the PIAA CIPPE form ( PIAA CIPPE form available here) and provide it to your Authorized Medical Examiner (if they don't have an electronic version).  Forms must be completed and certified after May 1, 2025. Forms dated prior to May 1, 2025 will not be valid and registration will not be complete.

  • If you registered for a Fall sport this school year, follow the instructions within the registration form.

  • Please contact the coach for specific team information.  Email contacts are located on the Athletics page on our website.

Transfer Student Athlete Form

If your student is transferring to Bishop Shanahan High School and would like to play a sport, please click below to complete the PIAA Transfer Waiver Request Form. This form MUST be handed in to the Athletic Office before the student's first day at Shanahan. 

Athletic Transfer Form

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) has specific rules regarding student transfers. According to these regulations, students who transfer sophomore year or later are not eligible to participate in postseason (playoff) competition for the current season. If the family would like to pursue a waiver for this decision, please use the form provided.   All requests for waivers must be submitted to the athletic department no later than forty five (45) days prior to the beginning of a PIAA District’s postseason tournament for the sport in question. Please note that it is the family’s responsibility to complete and submit the waiver to the athletic department so that it may be signed and sent on their behalf.
