Bishop Shanahan High School Class of 2025 Graduation
Bishop Shanahan High School held its commencement exercises on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 AM in the BSHS auditorium, paying tribute to the Class of 2025. This year’s graduating class included 207 students, all of whom were accepted to four-year colleges including Saint Joseph's University, The Catholic University of America, University of South Carolina, University of Miami, and United States Naval Academy. The class received more than $57,000,000 in total college scholarships, of which 15 were full tuition scholarships, and 63 were presidential scholarships. The Most Reverend Keith J. Chylinski, the Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia Overseeing Catholic Education, presided over the graduation ceremony.
Daniel Lim, who will be attending the Temple University, was the valedictorian. Owen Whitaker, who will be attending Georgia Institute of Technology Honors Program, was the salutatorian. During his speech, Daniel reflected on the shared experience of his classmates, “We aren't called to be ‘normal.’ We are called to be holy: to be set apart; to be different; not only in the things we believe but in the way we live.”
During the commencement exercises, the Shanahan Medal was awarded to former Bishop Shanahan Principal / President, Reverend John E. Donia. After spending 9 years as campus minister, principal and president at Bishop Shanahan he was assigned the pastor of St. Elizabeth’s and St. Thomas Moore in Glenmoore. This medal is awarded annually to a person or group of persons whose service, commitment, and dedication to Catholic education deserve the recognition and gratitude of the Shanahan Community.

Shanahan also honored the "Golden Eagles" of the Class of 1975 who are celebrating their 50th anniversary!
