Learning About the Papal Conclave

On the Wednesday before the Pope was elected, Professor Cummings — a History Professor at Notre Dame, the aunt of Junior Evan Sprows, and an MSNBC commentator — joined students via Zoom during 2nd Period Theology class.

Shanahan students prayed along with and watched live coverage of the Cardinals processing into the Sistine Chapel during Theology classes. Fr. Monica also explained the papal election process to the students. Most of our current students do not remember the last Conclave of 2013 and anxiously awaited with the world, the election of the next Holy Father!
