Congratulations to Clare Voss '27 who has been selected as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal recipient for Bishop Shanahan High School. This nomination reflects her outstanding achievement and demonstrated strength in the fields of mathematics and science

“Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute congratulates you on being awarded the Rensselaer Medal! Founded in 1824, RPI is the oldest technological institution in North America, and it is located in the Capital Region of New York State. This prestigious award has been awarded since 1916 to one student in any given high school and is designed to recognize that student’s strength and success in the fields of mathematics and science. Medalists who apply, are admitted to, and enroll at RPI are awarded a scholarship worth $40,000 per year."

For more than 100 years, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has awarded the Rensselaer Medal to exemplary high school students. This merit scholarship has a value of $160,000 and is guaranteed for four years (five years for the B.Arch. program) for each Medalist who is accepted and enrolls at RPI
