Shanahan Students Attend NCYC

Shanahan students are proud to be part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Delegation (130 strong) to NCYC, the National Catholic Youth Conference, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

NCYC is a powerfully unique three-day experience of prayer, community, evangelization, catechesis, service, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperones. NCYC is the premiere Catholic youth event on a national scale that gathers people from all across America for a life-changing encounter with Christ.

Upon arriving in Indianapolis, Shanahan students were greeted by Archbishop Nelson Perez and Father Stephen Delacy, the Vicar for the Office for Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults!

Shanahan also stopped by Steubenville University for a college visit on the way to NCYC, meeting up with Shanahan alumni Mary Mich '23 and Brianna Holenstein '17 for a tour of the campus. Students also met Dr. Scott Hahn, Theology Professor and National Catholic Apologist speaker on Scripture and Mass, before leaving for Indianapolis.
