Faith in Action

Teachers leading students in the stands cheering

Faith in Action invites students to respond to their baptismal call as servant, witness, and leader. Rooted in the mission of Bishop Shanahan High School, this program empowers juniors and seniors to bring faith into action through leadership, ministry, and service within the school community and beyond.

Faith in Action students help shape the spiritual life of the school by planning and leading retreats, prayer services, liturgies, service initiatives, and other faith-centered experiences.

Program Overview

Faith in Action forms student leaders who are committed to growing in their relationship with God while actively serving others. Students develop the skills and confidence to lead meaningful faith experiences and witness to the Gospel through their actions.

Participation in Faith in Action supports students in:

  • Deepening their prayer and sacramental life
  • Growing as faith-filled leaders among their peers
  • Living out Catholic Social Teaching through service
  • Planning and leading retreats, prayer services, and Masses
  • Building leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
