ACDA Eastern Regional Honor Choir

Congratulations to Addison Egan (SATB Choir), Lauren Dynesko (SSAA Choir), and Maria DiMeo (SSAA Choir) who performed at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence, RI for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Eastern Region Honor Choir Concerts! These students were selected as some of the best singers on the East Coast to participate in their respective Honor Choirs.

The ACDA choirs are audition-only honor choirs that take place every two years. Students are eligible to audition if they attend a school on the East Coast and are in good standing with their schools’ Choral Department. The virtual auditions consist of a scale sung a capella, and an excerpt of an advanced-level choral piece. Students are selected based on their audition scores and are judged by a panel of 8 choral professionals. This year, over 1,800 students auditioned for this event, and only 200 singers were selected per choir.
